SiteStats Bing Connector lets you pull search performance data from Bing Webmaster Tools into your SiteStats dashboards. Once connected, you can build modules that report on Bing search clicks, impressions, CTR, average position, and other Bing-specific metrics (depending on what Bing makes available for your site).
This article explains what the Bing connector does, how to connect it, how to select your site, and how to use it inside the dashboard builder.
What the Bing connector does #
- Connects SiteStats to Bing Webmaster Tools so your dashboards can display Bing search performance.
- Fetches data per selected Bing site (your verified domain/property in Bing).
- Supports dashboard modules and reports so you can compare time ranges and track trends over time.
- Uses caching (where available in SiteStats) to speed up repeat dashboard loads and reduce API calls.
Note: The exact metrics and dimensions you can use depend on what Bing’s APIs provide and what your connector version exposes in the builder.
Step 1: Connect Bing to SiteStats #

Step 2: Select your Bing site #
After Bing is connected, you must choose which Bing site/property to use for reporting.
- Go to SiteStats → Bing Webmaster.
- Choose your website from the Site selector.
SiteStats uses your selected Bing site when running queries.
Using Bing data in the dashboard builder #
- Go to SiteStats → Bing Webmaster
- Select the metric(s) you want to report on (for example: clicks, impressions, CTR, average position).
- Select a dimension (for example: date for trend charts, or query/page/country/device depending on what your connector provides).
- Save the module and this will now appear on the Dashboard.

Troubleshooting #
“Bing is not connected” #
- Go to SiteStats → Settings → Global and reconnect Bing.
- Confirm you’re signed into the correct Bing account (the one that owns/has access to the site in Bing Webmaster Tools).
- If you recently changed passwords or revoked access in Bing, reconnecting is required.
“No Bing site selected” #
- Go to SiteStats → Settings → Bing and select a site/property.
- Save settings, then reload your dashboard.
No data returned #
- Confirm your site is verified in Bing Webmaster Tools and has collected data for the selected date range.
- Try a longer date range (for new sites, short ranges can be empty).
- If you’re using a very specific dimension/filter, simplify the module first (date + clicks) to confirm the connection works.
Data looks delayed #
- Search platform data is often reported with a delay. If today’s numbers look low, compare with the previous day or last 7 days instead.
- If caching is enabled, use your dashboard refresh controls (if available) to force an updated query.
Privacy and data handling #
To display Bing metrics inside WordPress, SiteStats must request reporting access to your Bing Webmaster Tools data. SiteStats uses this access only to run queries for the modules you configure.
- What SiteStats reads: aggregated search performance metrics for the selected Bing site/property (for example clicks and impressions by date, query, or page).
- What SiteStats stores: your selected Bing site/property and any connector settings required to run queries. It may also store cached query results to speed up dashboard performance.
- What SiteStats does not do: it does not change your Bing settings, publish content, or modify your Bing properties.
