SiteStats Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SiteStats WordPress plugin (“SiteStats”, “the Plugin”). By installing or using SiteStats, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must uninstall and discontinue all use of the Plugin.

1. Use of the Plugin

SiteStats provides analytics dashboards within WordPress by connecting to external data sources such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console, WooCommerce, Tutor LMS, Gravity Forms, and other supported integrations. You may use the Plugin solely for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

1.1 Eligibility

You must be the owner or authorized administrator of the WordPress site where SiteStats is installed.

1.2 License

SiteStats is provided under a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for use on your WordPress website(s).

1.3 Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, modify, or distribute the Plugin without permission.
  • Use the Plugin in a way that violates applicable laws or Google API policies.
  • Attempt to bypass security or access data you are not authorized to access.
  • Use the Plugin for unlawful data harvesting or unauthorized analytics scraping.

2. Data Sources & Third-Party Services

SiteStats integrates with external services such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console using OAuth 2.0 authentication. By connecting these services, you authorize SiteStats to retrieve read-only data required to display analytics inside your WordPress dashboard.

You are solely responsible for complying with the policies and terms of any third-party services you connect.

2.1 Google Services

Your use of Google APIs through SiteStats is governed by Google’s Terms of Service and the Google API Services User Data Policy. You may revoke SiteStats’ access at any time through your Google Account security settings.

3. Data Handling

SiteStats stores all retrieved analytics data locally within your WordPress installation. The Plugin does not send your analytics data to any external servers unless future optional cloud features are enabled by you.

4. Availability, Updates & Support

We strive to maintain a reliable and functional Plugin, but we do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Compatibility with all hosting environments or plugins
  • Availability of third-party services such as Google APIs

We may release updates, bug fixes, or enhancements. You are encouraged to keep the Plugin updated to the latest version.

4.1 Support

Support is available through our official support channels. We may request temporary login access to assist with troubleshooting, but such access is optional and must be explicitly granted by you.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

SiteStats is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the analytics presented.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SiteStats, its developers, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Service interruptions or failures caused by third-party services (e.g., Google APIs)

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Plugin is to discontinue its use and uninstall it.

7. Termination

You may stop using SiteStats at any time by deactivating and deleting the Plugin. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to updates or services if you violate these Terms.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the Plugin constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of your local jurisdiction unless otherwise required.
